Well things are getting really exciting around here. Any by exciting, I mean my poor hubby is on the brink of begging me to stop talking about the excitement. So back to the blog I go
This week, I took on coaching part of the main workout. I did a bit of it last week to get my feet wet. It was a great learning tool. I felt a lot more confident this week and like I had a better handle on where to be and when. I just love it. Love it, love it, love it! It’s so awesome to work alongside and for people who inspire me and every one that comes through the warehouse doors does exactly that.
I also registered for another course that I’m so pumped about. Next year I’ll be trying my hand at the Strong First Kettle Bell level 1 certification. This course is no joke. It’s going to be crazy challenging because there’s a knowledge and a strength component. I have a lot of training to do over the coming months but it’s going to be a wild ride. I can’t wait to get started! I love that I’ll be doing it alongside a couple of the other coaches so we can work together to get prepped and ready to go.
I’m also hoping to do a pre/post natal care certification this fall as well. It’s a shorter one so it won’t take too long and working to get new and expectant moms active in a safe way is definitely a passion of mine. Stay tuned on that one!
As this is week four, it’s the last week before recovery week. We’ve been dealing with never ending sickness over the past couple of weeks and I’ve felt so exhausted and achy. I didn’t think it was possible but we all caught colds/sinus stuff and piggy-backed it with a stomach bug. Blech! I hate missing work and I hate missing a workout. This week, I missed both and that makes me a sad panda. At least it’s still nice out so we can open the windows to air out the stale air and get some natural vitamin D. I’m hoping my energy miraculously comes back tomorrow because it’ll make running a 12 hour relay a lot less fun if they don’t! Which reminds me…I need to pack a large box of Kleenex and hand sanitizer for the day. Good times.
Can’t wait to tell you all about the weekend’s race fun, which will hopefully not involve me passing out or puking in the bushes at any point. The way this week has gone, I’d not be surprised if either happened.
