Well last week was definitely a teaser for Spring. All our snow melted and it looked like we were finally rid of winter. But just as I got up this morning…snow. Boooooo!! Oh well, at least it won’t last for too long…right?
Last week kinda kicked my butt. Apparently I thought I could stay up until past 1am on Monday like it was 1999 or something and not be run over the next day or so. Wrong-o! I think my butt was dragging about 10 feet behind me for the entire week. Totally worth the fatigue but man…my age is showing because I canNOT handle late nights like that often. I feel like I need to buy a floor length nightie, some rollers and a shower cap…
Aside from my maniac ways and staying out way past my bedtime, I had trouble sleeping all week long. Oh how I was tempted to hit up the coffee all day, every day. Isn’t it funny how you can drag all day long and then when it’s time to get to bed, suddenly you’ve got mental energy to spare. My brain is messing with me.
Only one run last week. Whoops. I was not motivated to head out for 5 long, slow heart-rate miles yesterday. I fought it all day but I was so stinkin’ tired, I just couldn’t do it. I managed one 3 mile jaunt on the treadmill and my regular workouts at the gym so all was not lost.
I also introduced my kids to the joy of office supplies. Seriously…I could spend hours in Staples looking at office stuff. It’s my happy heart place. Some have indoor play lands…we have Staples. I never claimed to be normal.
This week will be more of the same, only hopefully, with more sleep. The little lady is a bit crabby after her 6 month check up on Friday and getting her immunization. Yikes! She’s also weighing in at a hearty 17.45lbs. My word! First sign you know you’re getting stronger? When everyone around you goes on about how heavy your baby is and you don’t notice it. The scale doesn’t lie. Neither do her gloriously chubby legs. I could squeeze them all day long. Oh wait…I do.
