37 weeks Pregnant and Exhausted

Just a quick pop-in to say…still here!

I’m at the stage now where any amount of silence/non-communication results in the “maybe she’s having the baby” and I can assure by looking down at my non-existent feet, that is not the case. Baby 3.0 is still cooking away, though I will happily admit that I’m ready to turn off the oven at any time now.

It’s been a fairly slow week for the most part. It’s the boys’ last week at daycare before the real fun of having them home full time with me begins (along with preschool for Fit Boy, which starts next Friday…hold me!). I’ve been busy in the kitchen trying to get as much food prepped as possible, trying to get errands done that are easier without kids and generally, trying to take it easy as much as I can.

I’ve been utterly exhausted. Completely sapped of all energy. Obviously, the sleeping issue is likely the main culprit but I just feel like all I want to do is a whole lot of nothing. I’ve lost my appetite completely and feel nauseous a lot of the time again. Still no hints or signs that baby might make an earlier appearance so I’m still hanging onto the fact that I’m relatively comfortable and still able to move around fairly easily (though baby has definitely moved lower over the last week so there’s more pressure when I’m on my feet for any length of time).

I did manage to get out for one short 2-2.5mile jog/walk this week with Mr. O. It was a beautiful day and with his broken bone, I kept him home from daycare Monday and Tuesday as a precaution (update: he went back on Wednesday and has been mostly back to his usual self ever since then. Such a resilient little man!!). He was pretty bummed at not getting to play with his friends so I loaded him up in the Thule Urban Glide (review coming soon…but I can already tell you, this stroller is AMAZING) and off we went. It was a chilly day (only 11C out!!) but we enjoyed being outside. I love how much my kids like coming with me on these walks/runs. I hope 3.0 is no different.

Now that we’ve hit Friday and the long weekend, I’m taking today to grocery shop and sit on my arse and crochet. I am falling asleep sitting here and just want to kick my feet up and say “screw it…I’ll do it tomorrow”.

Have an awesome long weekend everyone!
