Another week has come and gone. Last week was a short week because we had a holiday on Monday. Add that to my day off on Wednesday and a 3-day work-week isn’t too shabby. The downside is that 5 days worth of work still needs to be done. I was definitely ready for the weekend. Or at least my brain was.
I managed one short run/walk and though there was no leg pain, there was definitely tightness. I had another Graston treatment on Saturday which helped loosen up some scar tissue. It’s nice that my treatments are down to every 3-4 weeks. Even though I’m not running as much, the fact that I haven’t had any pain lately is encouraging. I’m hoping that by the time all our snow melts, I’ll be able to string together a couple of nice, easy runs per week with no pain.
Last week was also birthday week in our house with both boys having birthdays. This means that there were obscene amounts of sugar, meltdowns and crap-food consumption between family parties, daycare parties and so forth. The sugar withdrawal those boys are going to go through this week make me very tempted to work 12 hours days until they’re back to normal. I love my boys like crazy but those boys on too much sugar, gifts and not enough sleep are nobody’s friend. Yikes.
This week also brings about some serious Olympic withdrawal. I haven’t watched as much TV in the last year as I have these past two weeks. Boy was it awesome. I love Olympics.
Now that I seem to have some spare time on my hands, I suppose I should get back to studying for my exam, getting caught up at work and hoping that at some point, Spring-like weather will come and melt some of this snow.
I also need to get back to meal prep. I’ve really gotten away from it since we got sick and am getting back on that wagon this week!
