Mayhem Monday: Back in the Groove and a GIVEAWAY from Sears PureNRG

I seriously have been spending so much time on the couch this past week. I can’t help it. Olympic fever runs high in this house. I love watching the games. It’s ironic that I normally don’t give about 99% of the sports in it a passing glance any other time but add some medals, national anthems and hoopla and I become a comatose, zombie monkey for 2 weeks. Makes me wish I’d gotten that bike trainer so I could at least do something other than deepen the butt-groove in my couch. Ah well. Some of these sports make me sweat just watching them so I’m sure my heart is still getting a workout.

This week is birthday week. Mr. O turns 2 on Wednesday and Fit Boy hits the big number 4 on Friday. Crazy. I can’t believe how big my little men are getting. In just a couple of short weeks, I’ll be registering the oldest for preschool and soccer. *cue tears*. This year is definitely going to be one of massive change for us.

But before I get ready for not one, or two but 4 birthday celebrations (someone hold me!), I promised you a giveaway last week when I posted my review of the new Sears PureNRG line and a giveaway you shall receive!

Sears not only gave me 3 awesome outfits to review and put to the test, they also want to give 3 of my readers the chance to try out the line themselves. So they’re offering you lucky Canadians not 1, not 2, but 3 CHANCES to win a $50 gift card to Sears to pick out an outfit of your very own. I’m very excited to offer this up for you guys. I don’t do a lot of giveaway here, mostly because I don’t think it’s fair to make you jump through hoops galore to win a $5 “prize” but this is definitely worth some jumping! Sadly for my US and International readers, this is only open to residents of Canada.

It won't make your yoga better but it will make it very comfortable.

See below for how to enter (hint: there’s a specific question I want you to answer in the comments so be sure to read it). Winners will be chosen randomly and contacted via email. You’ll have 48 hours to claim your prize or another winner will be chosen in your place.

Have a great week and good luck everyone!!

  1. What do I look for in workout wear? My main problem is finding workout wear (pants/crops especially) that are comfortable but also fit well and don’t constantly need to be pulled up whenever I move or bend over!

  2. I look for workout clothes that are sort of all in one. I want something I can put on in the morning and use for my whole day. So I have to be able to wear them to look after my kids, run errands (which means looking somewhat decent) and then be able to use for a quick workout while the kids are napping. I like to feel dressed, but they must be super functional.

  3. Hmmmm…mostly affordability, secondly feel…ie. lightweight, breathable etc. and definitely cuteness factor plays a part. I will confess that I do not have a long history of experience in shopping for workout apparel, but that is changing ever so slowly.

  4. I look for workout clothes that are well made and will last. I also look for a good amount of stretch in the clothing. They also have to be affordable!

  5. In workout clothes I look for three things, in this order.

    1) I look for comfort – gotta feel good and not rub in the wrong places
    2) I look for durability – my workout clothes have to last for a while!
    3) I look for colour and cuteness – we all like to look good!

  6. I look for workout clothes that keep me feeling cool, look stylish enough to wear out running errands after if needed and don’t smell too badly after a hard workout haha.

  7. Comfort is number 1 with good fit and cozy material. Quality is #2 — something that will last. And style is #3 for me.

  8. I look for comfort of course and breath-ability. I really hate buying a nice workout shirt or bra and finding that it starts poking or picking at me during my workout.
