And here we are at Monday again. The weekend went by waaaaaaaaay too fast! I feel like I *just* sat down to relax for the weekend only to realize I need to get my arse to the office to start the work week.
Last week I managed to squeeze in some yoga on Tuesday. My leg has really been bugging me but this felt really good for it. There are some positions that I still struggle with (looking at you pigeon pose…right. at. you.) but for the most part, I’m really feeling the progression. Love the yoga. Need to do more of it.
Wednesday I saw my chiro again for my leg and we had another long chat trying to figure out why I can’t seem to get over this hump. She decided to try and do a Graston treatment on my knee, as per usual and then added in some work on my calf. Yowza!! That was some seriously ouch factor. I was so sore after but within a couple of days, I felt like I had so much more mobility in and around the joint. I was also given the task that no one wants to be forced to do: foam roll. Quads, calves, hams and (gulp) IT band. Oh my word there has been a sharp increase in profanity in this house since Wednesday. BUT it’s also been helping. Or at least it feels like it’s helping keep things loose. I don’t want to get my hopes up but I’m hoping that we’re starting to uncover the root of my problem so I can start rebuilding.
Saturday was hubby’s work Christmas party. Admittedly not my favorite night of the year but I know it means a lot to hubby that we go. Thankfully, it’s a huge event so I’m sure no one would have noticed that I wore the exact same outfit as last year. I guess that’s the downside to only owning one dress It ended up being a good night out but man, I was pooped.
This week, I’m hoping to get to Yoga twice and swimming on Saturday. This last week I absolutely got my rear handed to me in speed work. I thought my lungs were going to burst. I thought speed work in running was tough!
