What’s Beautiful: 5 Athletes who are inspiring me!

In working with FitFluential and Under Armour for What’s Beautiful, I’ve not only been inspired in my own journey to be a better, stronger more mentally focus athlete but also been drawn into the stories of all the thousands of women also signed up to bring their A-game to the forefront. If you ever want to be inspired by what women can do, spend some time on the What’s Beautiful site and you’ll be blown away by the goals that are being declared and achieved on a daily basis.

Here are just a sampling of some of the amazing women taking part:

Amy G: Set a new half marathon PR {sub 1:50} in 2013! Along the way, I will challenge myself with yoga & short distances races and challenge my friends to find their love of fitness! (Just looking at her picture makes me smile)

Angela S: I will work to be stronger every day. I’ll train hard, stay positive, and inspire others with my actions. I will run a PR in my next half marathon and break 1:30. (Umm…yeah…that’s fast!)

Jennifer F (center): Win Age Group in “Fittest” Competition . . . . . and nail a muscle-up. (With those awesome guns, I bet she’ll nail it!)

Alexandra W: Hike 6 miles up our mountain. Did I mention that it’s really steep? (Did she also mention that she owned that goal already?! Awe. Some.)

Heather M: Be a strong mom and good example for my 11 year old son. Show him it’s cool to have a mom who can do pull-ups! (This picture just plain rocks. The End.)

How about you? How are your goals coming along? Who is inspiring you on this journey?

  1. Wow, happy surprise to wake up to! Thanks for the shout out. I went again this morning and climbed that hill, but this time without stopping. I would have kissed my own biceps, but they were sweaty and covered in sunblock!!!
