Now that I have (mostly) uninterrupted access to the gym at work, I am really taking advantage of having an hour to myself to workout (and shower since we’re renovating our bathrooms and haven’t had a shower for a few weeks now). I decided that I wanted to spice up my routine and put together what I thought was a simple little leg workout to get my heart rate up, some sweat going and a good burn. What I ended up with were legs that I could barely walk on over the following two days. Granted, I haven’t done a dedicated leg workout in a very long time but this was not what I was expecting. It hurt so good! So I thought I’d share for anyone who wants to try it out!
I used two 15lb dumbbells for everything that’s noted as “weighted” except the walking lunges in which I used two 12lbs dumbbells. I couldn’t believe how tired my body was after and even with a good stretch, I was still really sore! I will definitely be doing this one again.
