Motivation Monday: What a Week!

This past week can only be seen as one big brain fart. From pretty much everyone around, including myself. I had my usual grand plans of 3 runs, 2 swims, 1 spin class. Things kinda went downhill after that. Here’s how the week was scheduled in my head:

Sunday: run

Monday: rest

Tuesday: run and swim

Wednesday: spin

Thursday: run

Friday: rest

Saturday: swim

Here’s how it actually ended up going:

Sunday: Run done!

Monday: Rest done (ever notice that nothing screws up a rest day? Or is it just me?)

Tuesday: Found out Hubby would be gone Wednesday so I couldn’t spin that day, found a class on Tuesday, called ahead, confirmed it was on, got the instructors name. Got to the gym and was told the class starts next week. #epicfail. Stayed and did my run on the fanciest dreadmill I’ve ever been on. If that treadmill were in my basement, I’d be running 50 miles a week happily catching up on PVR episodes of Vampire Diaries (don’t judge).

Wednesday: Hubby ended up not going out. Grrr. Didn’t realize this until after spin class started. Headed to the pool after the kids were in bed and banged out 800m at a packed pool.

Thursday: Run done!

Friday: Snow storm starts to roll in for the weekend. Saturday morning pack swim is cancelled. Sadly, this news comes after I spent an hour carb loading on sugar cookies.

Saturday: Snow drifts keep us pretty much indoors most of the day. My stomach also hurts from the sugar cookies. Lesson learned.

Overall, not a bad week, all things considered. I have the same goals for this week: 3 runs, 2 swims, 1 spin class. There are already scheduling conflicts popping up. Doh!!

  1. Great job on rolling with the punches and fitting in whatever workouts you can!
