I loooooooooove trail mix. It’s simple to make, portable and always has something in it that everyone will love. The biggest problem? Trying not to eat the entire bowl!
I used to buy trail mix from the store, either packaged or bulk and have ended up spending a small fortune because some of it can be overpriced. Plus, some trail mixes are greasy feeling/tasting, have lots of added sugars that I don’t want or are missing some key ingredients that I love.
So what’s a girl to do? Make my own of course?! Here is what I typically put in my trail mix. It goes well over overnight oats or measured out into a snack size container. It’s the perfect mid-day pick-me-up!
Easy Trail Mix
-Use 1/2 cup of each of the following:
Slivered Almonds (you can toast them if you like to take it to the next level)
Sunflower seeds
Pumpkin Seeds
Dried Cranberries (or any dried fruit like pineapple, blueberries, mango etc)
-1/4 cup Goji Berries
-2 tbsp cacao nibs
-2 tbsp sweetened coconut
Toss everything into a container, shake it up and enjoy!

That looks good. If you added some ground flax, chia, hemp, and a bit of Almond Breeze, that would be my breakfast!
