This past week has been a blur of boogers, fevers, coughs, chills and general misery. Both boys and me got sick. It was not fun. As a result, my taper week was on all stop mode. I didn’t even get in a weekend run. I know my body needed the rest (aside from sick, I was exhausted. I couldn’t believe how tired I was) but it’s left me a bit panicked about this coming weekends half marathon. I know I’m ready but losing a week of running this late in the game always makes me jittery.
That being said, I’m really excited to get this race on and see how the rest of my training will pay off. My last half marathon time was 2:27 and I’m really hoping to crush that time. More than anything, I want it to be a good run that is a positive memory. That roughly translates to my hoping and praying that it doesn’t snow on race day!
Another fun thing this week is that I’ve been nominated for the Top 25 Health and Wellness Moms. I’m very excited because a love my blog. I love that I can live my priorities, my dreams and do it all as a mom and share everything with you guys. Truthfully, the amount of love and support that I get from you guys is what makes the bad and the ugly not seem so bad!
