As a Fit Mom, I love a good sweat. Why else would I post sweaty pictures of myself after a good workout? As a woman, I’m not a fan of getting my sweat pouring when I’m out and about at the grocery store. Translation: sweating while working out: Cool. Sweating while grocery shopping: less cool.
I have a milder form of a condition called Hyperhydrosis. Basically, I have overactive sweat glands that make me sweat for reasons not related to regulating my body temperature. It’s not fun. It can be quite embarrassing and having a milder form of it only makes my heart ache for those that deal with a severe form on a day to day basis.
I’ve tried expensive antiperspirants, I’ve tried doctor recommended ones, over-the-counter ones, you name it. Nothing has worked well for me so when I received Certain Dri to try out, I didn’t hold my breath on it working for me. I still set out to give it a good, long test run to see how it fared in comparison to other products I’ve tried over the years.
What it claims: Certain Dri is the strongest available formula without a prescription and the #1 over-the-counter antiperspirant recommended by doctors for controlling excessive underarm perspiration. Both the roll-on and solid provide triple the 24-hour promise of other clinical strength antiperspirants.
How to use it: Apply approximately 2-3 times a week at bedtime, allowing it to penetrates pores while you sleep. If you still want to use a deodorant in the morning, you can. Think of it like creating your own 1-2-punch routine.
So the real question? Did it work? For me…not really. I did notice a very slight decrease in sweat but not enough that I would consider it to be significant. The cost of the product ($5.50-$5.99 suggested retail) is great and unlike some other products I’ve tried, I didn’t feel like I was putting on anything different. I’ve tried stuff that worked to stop the sweating but that made my arm pits so itchy and irritated that it wasn’t worth it, especially at the assault on my wallet. The only thing I noticed was that the arm pits of my shirts discoloured a bit (this came out after I washed everything in the laundry).
Does this mean that this product doesn’t work? No. It means it doesn’t work for someone like me who sweats excessively. It may well work wonders for the average person. For the cost and availability of the product, it’s definitely worth a try.

Haha! I am a sweaty mess too!!
Er, rather… I GLOW!
