It’s official: I’m a KIND-a-Holic. My KIND Snacks experience.

I love granola and granola bars. They have always been a staple in my house and in the spirit of saving money, I usually make my own. I also like to know exactly what is going into my food and snacks and this has been a way for me to keep track of that.

KIND Snacks recently contacted me to test out and review their product line. Normally, I’m not overly eager to review food because I have a hard time reviewing a product in which the sample size consists of a snack size portion of a single flavour. I headed over to their website because curiosity got the better of me and unlike a lot of food products that I get pitched, I’d actually seen this one in my local grocery store. I have to say, I was really impressed with the product before I had even tried it out. As taken from their site:

‘KIND’s all natural whole nut & fruit bars put an end to hunger by delivering all-natural nutrients like fiber, protein, calcium and iron. At KIND, we believe ‘you are what you eat,’ so while other companies often over-process, we take pride in crafting foods using ingredients you can see and pronounce®. Almond & Apricot is packed with almonds that help prevent osteoporosis and regulate blood pressure and Blueberry Pecan + Fiber is packed with antioxidant-rich blueberries that work to boost your immune system. Every KIND bar is made from all-natural ingredients that deliver a healthy dose of vitamins and minerals.’

I searched through the flavours and immediately found myself drooling in anticipation. I definitely wanted to give this product a try. Imagine my jaw hitting the ground when this massive box arrived at my door not long after:

Definitely not a cheap sample!

I was amazed at how much they sent. I couldn’t wait to dig in. And apparently, I wasn’t alone. My hubby, who typically poo-poos my blogging stuff and samples that I sometimes get couldn’t keep his paws off my stash! I found a few bars tucked away in his lunch bag! Sneaky tiger.

I am not exaggerating when I say this stuff is freaking amazing! Whoever says that good food doesn’t taste good has clearly missed the mark because I enjoyed each and every one of these bars and both types of granola.

Amazing as a breakfast.

Even the little man was demanding his share of mama’s bounty. Every morning he declared he wanted some of “Mama’s ceeeeerl”.

Fit Boy’s share.

If you follow me on Instagram (I’m “fitmomintraining” on there), you’ve seen my annoyingly incessant updates on my KIND Snack bars. They really didn’t last long. It’s almost embarrassing how quickly we motored through everything.

This stuff rocked on top of overnight oats, with almond milk and by the handful.

Git in ma Belly!

All in all, here is what I was sent:

Healthy Grains: Oat and Honey Clusters with Toasted Coconut; Maple Walnut Clusters with Chia and Quinoa

KIND Bars: Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Pecan; Madagascar Vanilla Almond (my fav!); Dark Chocolate Nuts and Sea Salt; Cashew & Ginger Spice; Blueberry Pecan & Fiber; Almond & Coconut; Almond Cashew with Flax & Omega 3; Apple Cinnamon & Pecan…I know there were a few more but I ate them so quickly, I forgot to write them all down. *fail*

I love this brand, I love that the ingredients list is short, nutritious and I know what went into making them. I don’t worry about giving stuff like this to my kids. As much as I try to control everything and do everything myself, the reality is that I don’t always have time so having this type of snack in my house also works to take some of that pressure off of me.

I was given a butt load of KIND Snacks in exchange for posting a review. All thoughts are my own and are in no way influenced by any outside party.
