This past week I ran into an unexpected hiccup with my swimming that I talked about yesterday. I’m hoping to remedy that this week by getting in 2 swims and 2-3 runs. Wish me luck!!
As I progress to longer runs, I’m still amazed at how far I’ve come in such a short amount of time. I ran 13k on Saturday and was amazed when I recorded my run on dailymile to see that I ran at a pace that used to be my race pace on a training run day. Not only did I finish strong but I felt great at the end! Don’t get me wrong, I was tired and my legs were sore (I couldn’t get my compression socks on fast enough after getting home) but I felt good and not like I was about to fall over.
I just love feeling this strong!
I don’t know about you but when I have a good run or a good workout, I feel on top of the world for days after. I feel like I am finally finding the right balance for me and my life and my body. It’s taken 32.5 years but I think the pieces are finally starting to click together and I’m working with the right formula.
Have you found the right formula for your life that creates the best balance for you? If so, what was the missing piece that pulled everything together for you?

Yes! I love love love that feeling too (which reminds me, it’s been too long since I pushed past that 10k mark…).
uhoh
is the fact my comment was eaten a sign?
a message I should um talk bad about the running and seek my STRONG THERE TOO?!
I love reading about women post-baby moving well, living well, and being strong! So encouraging and neat to see (as I’ve yet to have any kids of my own)…thanks for being that example, and great job on the run!!
Oh yes, I remember those days of exercising and breastfeeding. (And leaking through workout tops in group fitness class…).
Enjoy them while you can!
I love runs where I come home feeling like I had a good strong run. It makes everything else seem so much better. Glad to hear you are balancing everything so well.
