After a week of being sick and dealing with a very unhappy toddler and a baby who is trying to wean himself (at 4 months! Someone hold me, I am NOT ready for this!!!), I finally managed to sneak away for a late night run. It had been nearly 2 weeks since my last run so I didn’t push myself and went for a leisurely 5.5km run. That was a few days ago and my legs are still feeling it! I’m not sure what I did (or didn’t do) but my legs were toast.
I was also finally able to get to the pool for a swim and boy that was humbling and amazing all at once! I honestly couldn’t do more than one 20m length without needing a break. I’ve never been a strong swimmer but this is definitely a step back! Oh well. You’ve got to start somewhere right?! It felt so good to be back in the water. And one advantage to swimming at 9pm is that there aren’t many people there. The disadvantage is that I needed toothpicks to pry my eyes open the next day
This week I’m hoping to get back to the pool once and run a couple of times. But my first priority is spending as much time outside with my kidlets as possible! After weeks of rainy, gloomy weather, we are finally getting some hot sunny weather. I plan to enjoy as much time at the parks and splash pads with my boys as possible!

What a beautiful baby!! And congrats on getting back out there with exercise!!
Pain is really inevitable.. Well anyway, I just love your baby here and hope everything is all good at the moment.. Keep it up!
