You’ve sold yourself short once or twice but never given up on what’s important to you. You’ve been busy, overtired, mentally drained and at your wits end more times than you probably want to count but you persevered and held on to that stubborn determination of yours.
You struggled with the guilt of taking time for you. Time to train, time to relax and time to unwind. But look at your kids now. They still love you, they still smile and laugh and best of all, they understand the immense joy that comes from working toward and achieving a goal. They get to experience that because of the example you set for them. Don’t ever question whether you’re making a positive impact on their lives because they are watching and learning from you every day, you just don’t know it yet.
So what does it all boil down to? Don’t give up. Never, EVER give up. Push hard, push forward, just plain push. Don’t expect it to get easier because it doesn’t. Expect it to be downright impossible at times. But know that everything will turn out as it’s meant to and you will conquer every single one of those mountains…if you’re determined enough.
One last thing…get rid of those black shorts (yes…those ones)….they aren’t doing you any favors.
