How is everyone this week? Who raced on the weekend? I know some of you were out in full force taking part in the Dirty Girl Race in Atlanta. If you were there, I hope you had a blast and I can’t wait to read some of your recaps from the weekend!
Here in the Prairies, things weren’t quite that exciting. Baby O went for his 2 month boosters and had a rough few days after. Fit Boy is still struggling with ear infections and we’re skeptical as to whether these antibiotics are doing much to help him. Suffice it to say, I only got one run in this week. Mommy duty took over the rest of the week. These things happen and as much as I needed to run, I wouldn’t ever pick it over caring for my little men. As it turned out, it ended up being a good thing as I ended up a bit under the weather toward the end of the week myself so the rest was probably a good thing. As such, I’m going to be repeating my training week to ensure I don’t push myself too fast too quickly.
And speaking of training…look what I went and signed up for:
I better get a training plan put together stat!
How was your week? Did you race? Hit any milestones? Step outside of your Comfort zone?

I hope your little guy and you are feeling better! Good luck with your training and the new runs you signed up for. I had a friend who loves running that was at the dirty girl race, the pictures looked like fun but I’m def not a runner
Have a great week!
Oh, those first boosters always come with a reaction. My son was crazed and cranky for at least 2 days afterwards. I started PJ days after Dr. visits to help him adjusts. During his first year we were in and out of clinics and specialists so it was a really rough time for me.
Life takes over sometimes and as a Mom we have to balance. Add 2 kids to the mix and life becomes an amazing/crazy thing that never goes as planned. You will get there. Just think about how long it took you to get back into the groove after Fit Boy was born. It takes a little longer juggling 2.
I hope you get time for those runs and everyone is feeling good in your house this week!
Sorry to hear your fellas & you haven’t been well. I’m with you on the training. It all takes a backseat when it comes to taking care of the ones we love. There will be time for running later.
Hope this week brings good health again for all!
I’ve enjoyed reading through your blog! Truly inspiring!

Hope the boys get feeling better quickly so you can focus on yourself for a bit. I’m excited for you to get back to your running. You are such an inspiration for living healthy and getting fit.
I hate when the kiddos aren’t feeling well =/ Good luck on the training plan, but I know you will kick butt at those runs!
I left the ZONE of COMFY and performed on stage!
You know, my oldest daughter went through a long track of ear infections – one right after another. The antibiotics did nothing for her (kept it at bay, but the second the antibiotics were done, her fever came back with a vengeance). We ended up putting tubes in her ears when she was 18 months old. She is now 5 years old, tube free, and hasn’t had an ear infection since!
And I hope you’re feeling better this week! Good luck with your training!
Ear infections are the worst =/ My daughter ended up with tubes (TWICE) and still has issues! I have had a few people suggest a chiropractor for this (??) Which I may try myself soon.
I am excited for you signing up for the 2 5k’s, your definitely an inspiration! I have a 5k walk on May 19th and hopefully the next one I do is a run!
Awww, it’s so hard when the babies are sick.
Hope everyone feels better soon. Congrats on signing up for some more runs!
Congrats on signing up for 2 races! I have a 5K coming up at the end of May and life has been getting in the way of training. It can be annoying but it is what it is! I hope you get to get out and run some more soon!!
