I love a good Protein Powder and many times, it’s not easy to find. I’ve used products that leave a sour taste, metallic flavour or don’t dissolve well, leaving you with a chewy shake (ew).
I’ve used GNC products in the past and have always been very impressed with the quality. They taste great, they mix well and they keep me feeling fuller longer. Most recently, I’ve been given the opportunity to partner with GNC and have been using their Whey Iso Burst Chocolate Protein Powder. Taken from their website:
“Whey ISO Burst contains 39 grams of protein per serving derived from Cross Flow Microfiltered (CFM) Whey Protein Isolate. This high quality whey isolate has an exceptional protein percentage while being very low in fat, carbohydrates and lactose. Whey ISO Burst also contains a balanced array of naturally occurring whey protein microfractions and is an excellent source of essential amino acids.”
I’m no expert when it comes to such matters and like the majority of consumers out there, I look to the quality of the product as it suits and fits my lifestyle. Does it taste good? Is it versatile? Does it fill me up? The other stuff is still important but I need to know that if I invest in a product, it’s not going to sit on my pantry shelf until it expires. I leave the more technical questions to the professionals to answer for me (and for the record, I’ve always found the staff at GNC to be very knowledgeable about their products).
I am very pleased with this powder. Very. It tastes amazing and fulfills my raging sweet tooth. It makes amazing shakes and amps up some other great recipes, taking them to the next level. The best part is that I can sneak it into recipes without hubby knowing about it
Banana Chocolate Protein Bread
Baked Protein Oatmeal
The only thing I found odd was that there was no pre-measured scoop in the tub. I’m thinking this may have been an oops at packing time because anything I’ve ever bought from GNC has always included a scoop. But that was really the only thing and it’s a minor tidbit at that. Overall, I am extremely impressed and needing to head back to the store to re-stock because I’m almost out!

Question: What is your favorite protein powder fueled recipe?
Disclaimer: In partnering with GNC Canada for this Review, I was provided with a free tub of the above mentioned product. Opinions are entirely my own and were in no way influenced or encouraged by any outside source or company.

Yay! I too struggle with finding (and tasting) a good protein powder! And your bread and oatmeal look yummy!!
Nice review! That container is HUGE. But a lot of them are…
That baked protein oatmeal looks good! As for a protein powder fueled recipe, that would be smoothies for me. Yum!
Now I know that I”m not the only person who “assists” the baking we do on behalf of our families! heh heh. Our little secret!

I have been using the Banana Berry Burst lately and love it, too.
I thought there was no scoop in mine either… found it about half way through. Funny.
Glad you liked the chocolate. Good to get a recommendation. Thanks. Nice review.
I keep swapping back and forth between GNC and the cheap Walmart whey proteins. The GNC stuff definitely tastes better, but the price gets me sometimes.
Great recipes, btw. Thanks!
[...] I also like protein powders but don’t use those every day. I am just finishing off my awesome GNC Whey Iso Burst and when that’s done, I’m going to be trying a new kind by Vega. I’ve heard great [...]
It goes without saying that a product review should be unbiased. This is why I stopped reading the moment I came to “Most recently, I’ve been given the opportunity to partner with GNC.”
Certainly you wouldn’t mess up the partnership by giving them a negative review.
Excellent article! We are linking to this great article on our website.
Keep up the great writing.
I know this if off topic but I’m looking into starting my own blog and was curious what all is required to get setup? I’m assuming having a blog like yours would
cost a pretty penny? I’m not very web smart so I’m not 100% positive. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
I’ve read a few excellent stuff here. Definitely price bookmarking for revisiting. I surprise how so much attempt you set to create such a great informative site.
Surfing around reddit.com I noticed your site book-marked as: GNC Whey Iso Burst Protein
Powder Review. Now I am assuming you bookmarked it yourself and wanted to ask if social bookmarking gets
you a lot of visitors? I’ve been contemplating doing some book-marking for a few of my sites but wasn’t sure if it
would yield any positive results. Many thanks.
Greetings! Very helpful advice within this post! It’s the little changes that will make the greatest changes. Thanks a lot for sharing!
I like this but for what it cost to do one thing like this you could go to the store and buy a bunch of dulpicate tools when
you can’f find the ones you lost inside the mess in your garage.
