Fast Five Fit Friday

Welcome to a new series on Fit Mom! In it, you’ll be introduced to some awesome Health and Fitness bloggers in the community and find out a few little tidbits about what makes them unique, what they like (or don’t like) about the fitness world and a few little quirks that set them apart from everyone else!

Today, I’m featuring Ashley and a runner, CrossFit addict, wanna-be blogger, and a wife. Oh, and a new dog Mom to Olivia, a golden retriever puppy.

Pre-race ritual- I have to set out all my race gear the night before, shoes, bib, watch, ipod, clothes, EVERYTHING. I have to know that I have everything or else I get way too anxious!
I never workout without my:  iPod. I have to run with music. A fast paced, upbeat song gets me going when I’m having a rough run.
Fitness goal(s) for 2012: Run a sub 4:00 marathon. I’m running Ogden Marathon on May 19th and I’m hoping it happens there! Also, I’d love to do a pull-up unassisted in CrossFit.
Fun Fitness quirk: When I run at the gym I sometimes get very into my music. I am guilty of singing along (quietly… I think) and occasionally shaking my butt or fist pumping.
Dream race/event to compete in: I’d love to run the Disney Princess Half or the Walt Disney World Goofy’s Race and a Half. My Mom and I are running the Tinkerbell Half in January and I’m super excited for my first Disney race!
