Welcome to another Fast Five Fit Friday on Fit Mom! In it, you’ll be introduced to some awesome Health and Fitness bloggers in the community and find out a few little tidbits about what makes them unique, what they like (or don’t like) about the fitness world and a few little quirks that set them apart from everyone else!
Meet Courtney, a married, (almost) 28 year old living in Upstate, NY. Courtney enjoy all things related to food, fitness, and fashion, as well as feeding her huge sweet tooth (I can relate!). She recently received her Personal Trainer certification through NASM and is looking forward to beginning down a new career path!
Favorite workout song: “Sexy and I Know It” by LMFAO. It gets me pumped up every time!
I never workout without…a positive attitude and 100% commitment. If I’m working out, I’m giving it my all, whether it be 10 minutes or an hour!
Biggest fitness brag to date: All of my life, asthma has been a major burden on my fitness goals. While I’m learned to better manage it as I’ve gotten older, it is still frustrating. But in April 2011, I ran my first 10K race in just over an hour. THAT was something I never thought I’d be able to do!
One fitness discipline I’d love to try would be…cross fit! The workouts all sound so challenging and demanding – probably more so than I would ever attempt on my own without that extra push from being in a class. I love feeling strong and powerful.
Best advice you’ve received in life: I don’t know if its the “best” advice I’ve ever gotten, but it’s definitely one of my favorites: “If you’re not having fun, then why are you wasting your time?”
