Motivation Monday: February 14, 2011

This week marked my official return to work. I planned it so I would only work 2 days to give me time to get settled, without being overwhelmed. I got through the days with minimal difficulty other than some severe brain-drain. I missed Fit Boy terribly and had a few misty moments but he had so much fun at his home day care that I felt less guilty which is good. I do feel lonely at work. The past year, aside from spending time raising my baby, I’ve had time to raise myself so to speak. I’ve learned a lot about me, grown a lot and really nailed down some good habits. But as I’ve mentioned before, I don’t have anyone here to share that lifestyle with necessarily. I have a workout buddy again which is nice but I am really missing the community I’ve grown to love, admire and depend on so much over the past months. I’m still around, still visible, still tweeting but it is taking some getting used to (darn firewalls at work!). Please don’t stop messaging out to me because I love hearing how your days are going and how you all are Razzling that beautiful Dazzle!

A big thanks goes out to everyone who offered their support, advice and hugs this past week. I didn’t get a chance to reply to comments from last week but I read and appreciated every single one of them! So thank you!

I have a game plan. Well…sort of. Ok so many not a plan, but I’m motivated and determined to rock the block in a serious “move over!” kind of way.

Have a Happy Valentine’s Day but remember, it’s not about the love shown from others as it is the love we show ourselves.

  1. Do you have a lunch workout buddy? That’s cool in the midst of things anyway. And it’s nice he likes day care, that takes such a load off, it’s hard enough without peeling little fingers off your leg.

    Congrats on surviving week 1.

The first couple weeks are always the hardest; just take it one day at a time and you’ll make it!
Your game plan sounds like a good one. Determination & motivation are definite necessities and you’ll go far with both. :)

  3. Glad to hear your are settling in and have a plan of attack. I wish you the best with your transition and keeping in touch with your community.

Have a great week and take care of yourself and your little Fit Boy.

  4. Happy Valentine’s Day to you! I hope that you have a nice day and a great week being back at work. I worked with my first and I remember those moments where I misted up too. It’s amazing that you had the time off to discover yourself and be with your baby.

Good Luck with your fit buddy and finding someone or changing someone at work to be the support you need there.

You are a wonderful woman and can tackle the whole world when you need to. So glad you still have the time to pop in and out during the day.

Going back to work must be hard, but you’re handling it with such grace!!

I love having a workout buddy, it does make things so much better and a little easier sometimes!

Go Razzle your Dazzle and have a great day today!

Good luck on making the change. It won’t be easy – always here to support. Work on the “game plan”

  7. I know without a doubt that you will be rockin’ the block!! You are a force to be reckoned with! And we need you as much as you need us. Love you!

You are going to own that place with your razzled dazzle. And you’ll get that brain firing on all its cylinders for the long-haul soon too. xoxo
