My Healthy Living Alphabet

A-ttitude. Don’t look at your health as a chore but rather as a privilege.

B-elieve in yourself. The only limitations in life are those that we place on ourselves.

C-ommit to change.

D-on’t wish you could be someone else. For all you know, they’re unhappy too.

E-ducate yourself. There are a lot of misleading “healthy” products and programs out there. Be wary of anything that promises a quick fix with minimal time or effort.

F-ind support. Whether it’s online, down the street or in the next room, a support system is key to helping you stay on track.

G-oals keep you motivated. Public goals keep you accountable.

H-ave patience. Change isn’t going to happen overnight but it will happen if you’re consistent and committed.

I-nspire others. How many times have we heard the saying “if I can do it, anyone can”. Be that example.

J-ust do it. Leave the excuses at the door and move. You’ll be glad you did.

K-eep it fresh. Change your workouts every few weeks to keep your body guessing and your mind interested.

L-earn from your mistakes, don’t dwell on them.

M-indful eating. If you can’t read or identify the ingredients on the package, you probably don’t want it in your body.

N-ever, ever give up.

O-pen your mind to new things. You’ll be surprised at what you’ll fall in love with.

P-ay it forward. Take what you’ve learned (good AND bad) and use it to help others who are starting their healthy living journey.

Q-uiet time. A few minutes of solitude every day is essential for focus, concentration and stress relief.

R-azzle your Dazzle. Every day. Always

S-chedule your workouts as you would an appointment. Block that time out and prioritize it.

T-rain your mind. Healthy living is as much a mental battle as it is a physical one.

U-nite your body, spirit and mind.

V-ary your intensity. Combine high intensity days with low intensity days to keep your body moving without over-stressing it.

W-ater is essential. Be sure to stay well hydrated, especially in the heat.

X-terminate all negative self-talk. It has no place in your mind or your mouth.

Y-ou are stronger than you think and more beautiful than you know.

Z-zzzz. Be sure to get enough every night
